Self-Belief is the corner stone of peak performance and achievement in any walk of life. As Henry Ford said “whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right”. If you believe you can do it then you will not give up until you find a way. If you think you cannot do it you will accept the difficult obstacle you meet as confirmation that you couldn’t do it in the first place. Either outcome proves you right depending on your mind-set going in!
This workshop outlines what exactly self-belief means and what it is. It also helps participants to build their own self-belief to improve their performance in all areas of life from social life and relationships to sport and career.
What are the characteristics of self-belief?
1. Action mentality
2. High self-efficacy
3. Confidence in my ability

How do I know if I have self-belief?
• Look at the list above and assess how you relate to each quality
If you have good levels of self-belief you will recognise these qualities in yourself. Remember that you can always improve and increase your levels of self-belief
How do I build up my self-belief?
1. Structured review of past performances

3. Smart goal setting
4. Clarify your ultimate goals (why do I do this? What do I want to get out of it?)
5. Maintain an internal locus of evaluation
6. Understand what commitment means (unforeseen challenges)
7. Understand your motivation and use it to your advantage
